WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a cutting-edge technology company, we are searching for a talented Security Architect to join our exceptional team. Kaseya is a leader in delivering groundbreaking solutions that empower businesses to thrive in the digital age. You should be a technical contributor who will build and maintain infrastructure focused security solutions.  In this position, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing initiatives that improve the security posture of Kaseya’s infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures, defending against potential threats that could disrupt operations or compromise sensitive information.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The ideal candidate will work on a wide variety of interesting technical problems, operate at scale in an environment with over an exabyte of data, have opportunities to green field solutions, and operate with both autonomy and empowerment from senior leadership.

Prior experience as a security focused systems administrator is required, the candidate must have experience and demonstrate capability in this domain. This person must have effective communication and project management skills.

This position is 100% in our cutting-edge offices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Contribute and advise on decisions in the development and maintenance of architectures for Enterprise and Product scopes.
  • Contribute and advise on the creation of future technology architectures and strategies.
  • Conduct complex technology and system assessments for architecture solutions.
  • Identify security design gaps in new and existing architectures and engage with engineering teams to craft solutions that mitigate those issues.
  • Take a wide view across security projects and programs to collect and articulate security needs. Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure and Program Management to update plans to include solutions to these issues.
  • Collaborate with security tool vendors to investigate security offerings and assess their viability for potential utilization.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks and the requirements underlying each, including SOC and PCI-DSS.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and the requirements underlying each, including ISO-27001 and NIST 800-53.
  • Maintain and develop engineering and security documentation.
  • Plan and execute security engineering initiatives.
  • Work with stakeholders to refine the acceptance criteria of security objectives.
  • Provide security centric guidance during design and maintenance.
  • Iterate on security guidelines, raising expectations for new and existing infrastructure.
  • Performs other security related duties as assigned.
  • Limited travel may be required.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 5-7 years of experience in information security and IT risk management.
  • A strong working knowledge of current IT risks, security implementations, and computer operating and software programs.
  • A thorough understanding of the organization’s technology and IT systems.
  • Experience in planning, researching, and designing security architectures for various IT projects.
  • Experience in developing requirements for networks, firewalls, routers, and other network devices.
  • Experience in performing vulnerability assessment, security testing, and risk analysis.
  • Experience in researching and implementing updated security standards, systems, and best practices.
  • Experience in defining and documenting how the implementation of a new system or new interfaces between systems impacts the security posture of the current environment.
  • Experience in evaluating security architectures and designs to determine the adequacy of security design and architecture proposed or provided in response to requirements contained in acquisition documents.
  • Experience in determining the protection needs (i.e., security controls) for the information system(s) and network(s) and documenting appropriately.
  • Experience in testing the final security system and updating and upgrading it as needed.
  • Experience in establishing disaster recovery procedures and conducting security breach drills.
  • Experience in responding quickly and effectively to all security incidents and providing post-event analyses.
  • Experience in monitoring and guiding the security team, cultivating a sense of security awareness, and arranging for continuous education.
  • Track, manage and resolve incidents and requests using a ticket system.
  • Request, Incident and Change Management practices.
  • Strong leadership skills to mentor junior team members and lead projects.

  • Prior experience as Security Architect
  • Working understanding of modern security vulnerabilities and best practices.
  • Working experience in enterprise environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for documentation.
  • Works effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong work ethic and an insatiable desire to learn.

  • Ensure that security concerns are accounted for in every Infrastructure Security platform.
  • Engineer Infrastructure Security platforms that are secure, stable, maintainable, and scalable.
  • Develop and enforce Infrastructure Security standard methodologies, processes, and tools.
  • Be the bridge between Infrastructure Security, Software and Systems engineering.
  • Identify trends in need of a larger solution, beyond the scope of the immediate problem.
  • Design and champion best Infrastructure Security practices within the organization.
  • Solve complex and challenging problems with simple, maintainable, and scalable solutions.
