The Facilities Supervisor role is a pivotal position within our organization, overseeing the management and development of our facilities and construction projects in a dynamic and diverse region. If you have a passion for facilities management, construction, and strategic leadership. This position will require flexibility with working hours to accommodate different time zones and be on call during any emergencies. This position will report directly to the Director of Real Estate & Facilities and will be based out of our Miami office.
In-office attendance will be required and some travel will be required.
As the Facilities Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our facilities, construction projects, and real estate assets across North America. Your role will encompass project management, budget oversight, vendor management, and ensuring that our facilities meet regulatory compliance and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities Management:
- Portfolio Oversight:
- Lead and manage facilities across North America, ensuring they meet operational, safety, and environmental standards.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for facility improvement and expansion.
- Maintenance & Operations:
- Oversee facility maintenance programs, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for facility operations, maintenance, and capital projects.
- Monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure budget compliance.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure facilities adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
- Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency response plans.
Construction Management:
- Project Management:
- Lead construction projects from inception to completion, including planning, budgeting, design, permitting, and construction phases.
- Coordinate project teams, including architects, contractors, and consultants.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure construction projects meet quality standards, specifications, and are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Conduct inspections and quality assurance checks.
- Vendor Management:
- Select and manage contractors, suppliers, and vendors for construction projects.
- Negotiate contracts, review bids, and ensure vendor performance.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and operations, to align construction activities with business objectives.
- Communicate project status and updates to senior management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Facilities Management/Building Operations; previous experience managing multiple locations across multiple states
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant studies
- Proven construction project management and budget management skills
- Skilled communicator in large groups and one-on-one
- Able to solve advanced problems and effectively deal with a variety of options in complex situations; leadership experience
- Willingness to travel a minimum of 25% within the region
- CFM certification a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
